Balinese Dancer

This study, posed by Polock, painted by Vladimir Tretchikoff, typifies the glamour and irresistable charm of the Balinese temple dancer. These girls are trained in the artform from childhood and, in their ornamented head-dresses, low waisted tunics and gold-lame skirts, perform ritualistic dances against the background of the temple.
